Did you know that IPN =
I confess that I had no idea that ipn meant this, but thanks to Monica at The Online Mom - no acronym needs to remain a mystery any longer.

Check out her IM & Text glossary and see if it makes you lol or if you've btdt.

A site to visit often by all moms who want to stay on top of their kids and technology!

CONFESSIONS

Please respect the confessions booth by refraining from the following:

  • Shameless profanity (unless this is the only way to make your point.)
  • Obvious lies (Lies have their place, just not here.)
  • Confessions involving pedophilia or similarly illegal acts.
  • There is a difference between a confession and a slanderous judgement. Please refrain from the latter.

COMMENTS

What is the TMC Comment Policy?
TMC moderates confessions and comments before they are posted on the site. We try to approve every confession and comment, but we have to delete those that include the following transgressions:

  • are judgmental
  • are abusive, vicious or condescending.
  • express the desire for negative things, such as death, to happen to another person
  • are really meant to be advertisements for other sites or businesses
  • detail harmful and/or illegal activities
  • are directed at TMC moderators or staff

What happens when I post a comment?
As long as you have registered to post comments on the site, you are considered a Trusted Commenter and your posts will immediately be submitted to our staff for consideration for publication.

Why do I have to register?
The TMC community is meant to be a place to confess in a judgment-free, safe environment. Registration is an extra precaution against negative posts. TMC will restrict the commenting privileges of registered users who are repeatedly flagged by the community as being abusive.

Why isn't my comment on the site?
There are three scenarios in which this happens:

  1. Technical malfunction.
  2. You have not registered to comment and thus have not received your Trusted status.
  3. Your comment was flagged as abusive by two or more members of the community. Once a post is flagged twice, it will be automatically removed from the site and sent to our moderators for consideration.

Why has my Trusted Commenting Status been taken away?
If you have been flagged as abusive by the community more than five times, TMC staff members may have determined that you have repeatedly violated our Comments Policy and blocked your IP address. We do this because the sheer volume of confessions and comments precludes us from having time to individually consider and remove posts by someone with a pattern of not following our rules.

Can I get my Trusted Commenting Status back?
Contact the TMC staff at admin@truemomconfessions.com and we'll chat about it.

What do I do if I see a comment I find offensive?
You can click the "flag as abusive" icon below the post to alert our moderators, who will use their best judgment to determine whether the comment violates our policy.
