Healthy Halloween Treats

Healthy Halloween Treats

Halloween is one of my all time favorite holidays, but let’s be honest, the amount of sugar my kids intake between, school, trick-or-treating and friends is excessive. They either end up getting sick of eventually it all goes bad and it gets tossed. So, this year I wanted to think of a few fun, east halloween recipes. Whether you are throwing a halloween party or have to send a treat with the kids to school, these are easy and festive.

This year I’m going to make something healthy rather than sending yet another bag of sugary halloween candy for the kids to gobble down at school. I can barely handle 2 on a sugar high, much less 25 plus. So, this one is for the teachers who have to put up with all those hyper munchkins. God love ’em.

Spiders on a log:
Ingredients – Celery, Peanut Butter, Plastic Spiders

Boo-Nanas & Jack O-range Lanterns:

Ingredients – Oranges, Bananas, Chocolate Chips and a Sharpie

Mummy Squeezies:

Ingredients – Apple Sauce Pouch/Any Fruit Squeeze Pouch, Gauze and Googly Eyes (glue them on)

Spidey Snacks:

Ingredients – Apples, Peanut Butter, Pretzels and Chocolate Chips

All of these are super simple and adorable! I didn’t include instructions because they are pretty self explanatory from the pictures. The kids will love them and you won’t have to feel guilty for sending in a big bag of sugary candy. Hope you and the kids enjoy making these special halloween treats!
