This one is a lot easier than it sounds. You will need jars (anyone with a lid), glow sticks, orange paint, something to draw the pumpkins face (puff paint, adhesive vinyl, anything that will stay on the glass jar), and super glue. Draw your pumpkins face on your jar. Paint the inside of your jar orange. You will need to cut open the glow stick (most have two parts inside them, so be careful) and pour all liquid into the jar. Secure and glue on lid so that there is no leaking. Swirl around the liquid inside the jar, and there you have it! Turn off the lights and have a glow in the dark pumpkin party. The kids will love it.
Q-Tip Skeletons:
This one is even easier and definitely one the kids can do by themselves. All you need is construction paper (I would recommend black for the background because your skeleton will stand out the most, and white paper for the face), Q-Tips, scissors, and glue. Have them cut out a skull for the face and glue it to the piece of black paper. After that they will create a body using the Q-tips. You can cut the Q-tips for different lengths of the bones. Use a black marker to draw a face on your skeleton.
DIY Witch Hats:
These are so easy and cute! First you’ll need to make your hat. This will consist of a paper plate with a birthday party hat glued on top. The plate will create the rim that a real witch hat has. Depending on your preference, you can use paint or spray paint. I prefer spray paint because it dries quickly and then the kids can decorate. Whatever you want on your hat is up to you. I like to glue on googly eyes fake plastic spiders, add some glitter – you can even pull apart cotton balls and glue them on to look like a spider web. So many fun things you can do with your hat.
Spider Plates:
This one is a classic. All you need is paper plates, pipe cleaners, glue, paint (I like to add glitter to mine) and googly eyes. Paint your paper plate any color of your choice. Wait for the paint to dry and you can glue on the legs. Bend your pipe cleaners to look like spider legs and glue to the back of the plate. Once the glue dries you can decorate. Glue on some googly eyes, add some glitter and your spider is ready to go!
Candy Corn Banner:
This is adorable if you are throwing a halloween party. It’s super simple. Cut out triangle shaped pieces of construction paper to mimic the shape of candy corn. Paint each triangle 2 or 3 different shades of orange/yellow, going from dark to light – like a regular piece of candy. Hole punch them upside down and weave string through them. Hang it on the mantle and there you have it, a candy corn banner.
